The connection methods of PVDF pipelines mainly include hot melt connection, socket connection, flange connection, clamp connection, and hot melt socket connection. 1
Hot melt connection is one of the most commonly used connection methods for PVDF pipes. It reaches a molten state by heating the connection between the pipeline and the fittings, and then quickly adheres to them, forming a whole after cooling. This connection method has the advantages of firm connection, good sealing, and strong pressure resistance, and is suitable for PVDF pipeline systems of various pressure levels. Hot melt connection requires the use of specialized hot melt equipment, and the heating temperature and time should be strictly controlled during operation to ensure the quality of the connection.
Socket connection is a simple and easy way to connect PVDF pipes. It is achieved by inserting the pipeline into the socket of the fitting, and then fixing the pipeline and fitting together using specialized clamps or fasteners. This connection method is suitable for pipeline systems with small diameters and low pressure levels, and has the advantages of easy installation, easy disassembly, and good sealing. However, there may be certain safety hazards in high-pressure or high-temperature environments.
Flange connection is suitable for large PVDF pipeline systems. It achieves pipeline connection by installing flanges on pipes and fittings, and then fastening the flanges together with bolts. Flange connections have the advantages of firm connection, good sealing, and strong adaptability, and can adapt to various complex installation environments. However, flange connections require the use of a large number of bolts and gaskets, making installation relatively cumbersome and costly.
Clamp connection is a new type of PVDF pipe connection method. It fixes pipes and fittings together by installing specialized clamps on them.
